The Lakers finally got back on track with a W Sunday night at Staples Center as they blew out the Bucks in front of another sellout crowd.
This game was a low-scoring game for most of it until the Laker bench ignited the team and help rout Milwaukee.
A first half of low-lights was full of highlights in the second half.
The Bucks really shot terribly. They seemingly missed everything they put up. And so did Kobe again much like Friday night. Also, the Lakers had a total of 61 rebounds from all those Bucks bricks.
Farmar and Brown really took care of business tonight putting on a show in the fourth with their dunks, threes, and defense.
The Lakers and Bucks both shot terribly, 40% and 34% respectively.

History repeated itself Friday night as the Lakers lost their ninth straight game at the Rose Garden in Portland.
This game was dominated by the Blazers from the beginning as they shot better, got the more loose balls, and never let the Lakers get back in the game. The Blazers shot over 50% while holding the Lakers to 43%.
The game changed when Bayless came into the game early in the first quarter and scored 16 quick first half points. He only finished with 21 points, but he only played 21 minutes and made his first five, with three of them from downtown.
Every Laker starter hit double-figures, but the Laker bench did nothing tonight. The Lakers also fouled a lot committing nine more fouls leading to 29 extra free-throw attempts for Portland.

The Lakers played some terrible basketball tonight as they got embarrassed in front of over 19,000 at the Staples Center Wednesday night on an ESPN telecast.
The Lakers really just didn’t have it tonight. There were many missed shots, many balls which they were late to and an overall lack of good shot selection from the players tonight. They took terrible shots and missed many easy ones inside the paint.
The Lakers really just weren’t in the game for the most part.
Several Lakers missed easy buckets and took many bad shots thoughout the night.

It was an ugly low-scoring game tonight at Staples Center. Neither team shot well nor took care of the ball. Hell, even the bench came back to earth Tuesday night with only 14 points.
The Lakers led for most of the night but gave up the lead late. They missed a lot of shots that they would normally make, especially from behind the arc and took some bad shots as well. Fortunately, the Lakers held on for a nine point victory in front of another home sellout crowd.
It wasn’t the best Lakers effort, but we will take a win any way we can get it when Gasol is out.
Bynum continued to play well with Pau out of the lineup and Odom flourished as well.
The Rockets shot very poor from three point land with 4 of 23 shooting, which will never get it done on the road.

The Lakers easily had their best performance of the season tonight as they routed the Mavericks at home. This one was a blowout from the beginning.
It was the cleanest Laker effort on both ends of the court as not only did every shot seemingly go in, but they also seemed like they all hit nothing but net.
The Lakers shot over 63% from the field which is unheard of in the NBA for an entire 48 minutes, especially considering they weren’t easy shots with 24 of them being threes on their way to a season high 131 points.
Normally when you score 131 points, your fans don’t get tacos, but the Lakers defense tonight was great as they held on for a 35 point victory. 33 assists to only 12 turnovers for the Lake show.
The only downside tonight was Gasol’s early injury, but the Lakers bench really came to play tonight.

The Lakers continued their inconsistent play with another terrible loss Monday night against the Phoenix Suns.
Artest’s injury really showed today as the Lakers gave up 118 points on 49% shooting.
Kobe again is the only Laker really to perform well for the team. 27 points from Pau and Bynum combined is not going to get it done against an undersized Suns team.
The Lakers who normally move the ball very well only had 13 assists all night, about half to their opponent.
The bench did well today, but Phoenix’s bench came through even more with several players in double figures.
Every time the Lakers tried to make a run to get back in the game the Suns answered with a big three or made illegal plays that the refeeres oversaw.

It was an ugly beginning and a beautiful finish Saturday night in the State’s Capital.
The Lakers opened the game with poor shooting and several turnovers, and finished with clutch tip-ins and three point baskets.
After a poor start, this game went back and forth until late in the fourth. The Lakers opened up a decent late lead, but blew it to Sacramento who had the lead up 2 points on the final play. With 11 seconds to go, Kobe took a terrible three, Fisher got his rebound, missed a shot and it was tipped in by Gasol with .4 seconds left.
In the final overtime, it was all Kobe who suffered from an elbow injury… but you couldn’t tell with those two huge threes he hit. As well as Kobe played, the other Lakers helped make this a W. Brown came off the bench and helped fill Artest’s spot. Pau had the game saving tip, and Fisher got a huge rebound and key steals.
Three Lakers played more than 50 minutes tonight and 5 Lakers hit double figures. The Laker defense held the Sacramento Kings to 40% from the field and only 6 of 25 from three point land.

This game tonight swayed back and forth for the Lakers about as much as the trees outside on a windy night in Los Angeles. The Lakers should have blown out this team easily at home, but they continue to struggle against the young teams in the NBA.
The Thunder are very athletic and get their hands on many boards and loose balls. The Thunder even had a second half lead, which they surrendered to the Lakers who built up a late fourth quarter lead.
However as the final two minutes came around, the game got real close as the Thunder offense came alive. In the end, the Lakers got the last laugh (despite a scare from Kobe’s injuries) as they held on for a 3 point victory.
The Lakers only shot 44% from outrebounded Oklahoma City. Every Laker starter hit double figures and Lamar hit it as well, which has been pretty rare for the Lakers this season.
This was a longer game than normal with 38 free throw attempts for the Lakers tonight.

The Lakers improved to 7 and 2 on the road for the season with an impressive win in Detroit Sunday afternoon. The game got kind of close at the end, but the Lakers really controlled this one from the start.
Great ball movement and great defense helped give the Lakers the 93-81 victory today.
Both teams only shot 41% from the field, but it was the Lakers 15 steals as a team that made the difference.
The Lakers got many second chance points as well. Bynum, Pau, and Lamar got their hands on many offensive boards leading to easy baskets.
Many Lakers contributed tonight and the Lakers didn’t have to rely on any single player to win this game. Gasol didn’t even score until the Lakers had already blown this game open. Four of the five Lakers hit double figures as they were very unselfish today.

The Lakers took care of business Saturday night on a cold night in New Jersey.
However, the only cold quarter for the Lakers came after 12 minutes of play. Every quarter was dominated by the Lakers except for that third quarter.
The Lakers opened the second half a bit sluggish, but Kobe took over and the rest of the Lakers followed. Fish hit a couple big threes in the third and the Nets returned to the way they always play.
The Lakers shot 50% from the field with the Nets being held to under 38%. Kobe really continues to carry the team offensively with another great second half.
Going to keep it short since it is Saturday night…
