Lakers select Joe Crawford with 58th overall pick

The Lakers selected Joe Crawford from the University of Kentucky, with the 58th overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft.

Crawford is 6′4 and 217lbs. As a senior at Kentucky he averaged 17.9 ppg, 2.1 apg, and 3.6 rpg. He also shot 36% from beyond the arc.

Tonight is the 2008 NBA Draft. No doubt this is a night where trades happen big or small. Just a reminder, tonight’s NBA Draft is at 7 ET, ESPN.

Make sure to check it out as even the Lakers are rumored to be interested in small moves to move up in the 2nd round.

Draft Express: Look for the Los Angeles Lakers to try and land an early second round pick (possibly from Seattle) in order to draft IUPUI’s George Hill. He worked out in Los Angeles and reportedly was very impressive. His college team actually ran the triangle offense, and that is always a big factor in the Lakers’ workouts.
