That number was up 25% from the six-game battle they broadcast last season.
Overall, the network’s 2008 NBA playoff coverage enjoyed a 14% increase from 2007.

I was lucky enough to be apart of the magic last night. During the ending stretch of the 4th - after Kobe had twisted the knife in the Spurs - myself and other fans started chanting, “we want Boston.”

With the Spurs advancing, they will face our very own Los Angeles Lakers this Wednesday night.
These two teams have more history in recent memory than any other two around the League. Last time they went was one of the most tough, hard-fought series in recent memories which was highlighted by one of the greatest shots in NBA history.

What can I say? I’m a selfish fan. Come on, admit it, when you first saw the split screen Kobe/Shaq ad you knew things would be insanely intense if the Lakers met the Suns in the post-season. Instead, we as a Lakers Nation were let down.
With flawless execution, the Suns beat - 2 years in a row - a Smush parker “run” Lakers squad… then to see the stupid desicion making by Nash, careless turnovers, and horrible execution… makes me angry as a fan the Suns are, yes I’m saying it, OUT of the post-season.
However, sometimes you can’t forget the trash talking the Suns did. The very man walking off the court in the picture said this about our Lakers after we destroyed them extremely early in the season:
“You mean the eight minutes he took over there to explain maybe one play that he probably didn’t run? Yeah, I was pretty upset,” D’Antoni said. “I thought he disrespected our players. But he likes to play mind games, and that’s fine. He might want to try to do it in playoff time when we bust them every year. We have them three more times. . . . That’s fine.”
Moral of the post: Karma is a Shaq coach D. Karma is a Shaq…
