My love for the Lakers began in 96′.

That love has grown so vastly through the years, that my blood now includes a mixture of both purple and gold, unfortunately, producing a pink-ish color of blood. But it’s all worth it, I don’t know what I’d think about 90% of the time if it weren’t for the Lakers.

I feel honored to watch every second of every Laker game, because I witness greatness in the eyes of Kobe Bryant. I idolize Kobe, I’m not a homer, I just love his traits and I love what he’s done for this organization. His mentality on the court will always seize to amaze me. I find his swagger, killer instinct, and his desire to come off on top, contagious, and I incorporate all of that with my life.

In 2003, I attended a regular season game at Staples, we were playing San Antonio. Because of my father’s association with the Laker ownership, I got to sit in the suite throughout the game, and walk around the Laker locker room after the win. It was the only time I got to watch my team play live, and it was the greatest day of my life.

Unfortunately, we lost to Detroit in the finals later that year, and the following 4 years after that. But that’s where it ends, 2008 is the beginning of a new dynasty, the hate is back and we’re taking over, this is our year.
